Join us for Leadership and Faith Through Adversity
Chief Tim Doran’s story from low-income childhood and appointment to the US Military Academy at West Point, to the Army, FBI, the White House National Security Council, Corporate America, and now your Chief of Police. This discussion will touch upon his vision and calling, career path decisions, challenges, barriers, and the faith that prompts him to STAND through adversity. This discussion will hopefully inspire and encourage you to be a leader of valor who inspires all those around you.

About the speaker
Chief Tim Doran has served his community and nation for four decades.
He joined the Army in 1984, graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point, and rose to the rank of Captain in the US Army Military Police Corps. In 1995, Tim decided to continue his public service and joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent. He served in the FBI in various capacities including overseas assignments in over 30 countries, primarily as a result of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.In his 22 years at the FBI, he led both the Washington DC Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Violent Crimes Task Forces, as well as the FBI Laboratory overseas response to all major terrorism bombings involving US citizens for over five years. Chief Doran was also a Senior Director on the US President’s National Security Council and finished his 32-year Federal Employee career as an FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Baltimore field office.
In 2017, Tim took a corporate leadership role for Advanced Energy Industries and served as their Director of Service Operations for North America, Europe, and the Middle East, based out of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Missing public service, Tim returned to policing as an Assistant Chief of Police with the city of Fort Collins in 2019. During the next four years, he led both the Criminal Investigations and the Special Operations Divisions before he was appointed as Chief of Police for the city of Loveland, Colorado in January 2023.
Most importantly, Tim is a devoted family man and has been married to his wife, Susan for 35 years and has five children.
